The seif Awards for Social Entrepreneurship
Represent the largest business plan competition in German speaking countries with a total of CHF 40.000 in cash prizes available to four outstanding social enterprises in the categories of seif Award for Social Entrepreneurship, UBS A wards for Entrepreneurial Innovation, SUV A A ward for Integration and Prevention, and PwC Award for Future Trends. Applicants do not need to apply for a specific category and each of the four winners will receive an award valued at CHF 10.000.
The seif Awards for Social Entrepreneurship rewards projects, applying innovative business ideas to current social and/or environmental problems. Social enterprises from all over the world and in all sectors are invited to apply. A total of CHF 40’000 in cash prize is available to be divided among the winner of each of the following four categories
In its 6th edition, the seif Awards 2016 aims to follow on its tradition to celebrate and promote innovation drivers for change at the national and international level. Previous winners include outstanding enterprises such as: Mitschaffe.ch, Pristem, Wecyclers, Äss- Bar, Discovering Hands, Mobile Solar Kiosk, Gorilla, Die Sozialfirma, Euforia, SwissLeg, Gartengold and many others.
Social entrepreneurs interested in taking part can submit their business plans until 30th June. The finalists will be preselected by a Jury of 13 professionals and invited to pitch before the Jury on 1st of September. The winners will be announced on 6th October at the Awards ceremony in Volkshaus Zurich. For more information, please visit seif website:

Social Entrepreneurship Impact & Finance (seif) supports and promotes people seeking to apply innovative business ideas to respond to current social and/or environmental problems, otherwise known as “social enterprises”. We do so by offering them mentoring programs, consulting, training workshops and general support according to their needs and stage of development.
To contribute to the professionalism of the social entrepreneurial community and build up the capacity of the social enterprises, seif also acts as a bridge between the different stakeholders connecting social businesses to actors from the financial sector, corporate world, universities, foundations and others to create the highest social impact possible.
